It has been a long road to the creation of Rooted Free - and one can only hope, a long road ahead! Here is our story.

ROOTS
My name is Lauren, and I'm a crunchy, woo-woo, barefoot, food-snob, witchy-weirdo manifesting mamapreneur. But I wasn't always so cool.
It was a gradual process from conventional eating to passionate locavore; from mainstream to question everything; from shy people-pleaser to embodied wild teacher and healer.
Over the years I have been a camp director, an environmental educator, a birth doula and childbirth educator, a distributor of natural healing products, and a community organizer. I have been a speaker on the censorship and fear tactics of the healthcare system. I founded and ran Farmer at the Door, a home grocery delivery service of locally produced, organic foods. And I have been a learner, willing to undo everything I thought I knew in order to ever expand.
The more I learned, the more clear it became that clean, local foods are essential to physical and mental health, and that both personal growth and community are essential to a free and aligned life. And I learned how incredibly powerful and vibrant we each can be when supported in these things. With this knowing came an undeniable pull to share these as widely and well as I can.

WINGS
In 2021, dreams sprouted wings and Rooted Free was born. I chose to trust the process, and a lovely little New Hampshire farm found me. I felt the energy of a growth-based community the first time I set foot on the land. Now these dreams have taken root in its gardens. My passion for educating and empowering is poured into the workshops and retreats. A glistening web of incredible facilitators and soul family is forming and working together here.
Every season the vegetable patch and medicinal gardens expand, and the chickens somehow keep multiplying! With the support of this land, an incredible team, and the guiding whispers of our ancestors in our ears, we are walking people home to freedom. We have been enjoying the evolution of our offerings, and celebrating the magnificent mycelium of our community!
History does not need to repeat itself, if we can break the cycles. Live free, and thrive!
